The boys’ soccer team and the volleyball team both beat Northern High School quite soundly in their games this week. The volleyball team was able to trounce their cross-town rivals on Tuesday with a score of three sets to none. Tuesday’s win put the Falcon’s at 3-2 for the season, adding to wins against Milbrook and Orange High School. The Falcons will play one more non-conference game at home against Enloe on September 3rd before they start their conference campaign at Panther Creek next Thursday.

The boys’ soccer team also handled Northern easily, beating them 4-1 at Durham County Stadium on Thursday. The game saw freshman Erik Mejia and junior Nick Mountain score their first career varsity goals for Jordan. Goals from seniors Joey Stanley and Dylan Bristow rounded out the scoring for the Falcons. The win over Northern comes ahead of the Falcons’ clash against rivals Durham Academy next Friday.
