The Jordan Falcons have had an exceptional start to the season, sitting at 2-0 with wins over Person and Enloe. Against Person, starting senior quarterback Cam Carrow went 4-10 with 70 yards with a 36-yard touchdown throw to Andrew Hayes, who also contributed on the ground with 13 carries for 116 yards and 2 touchdowns. Junior QB Isaiah Williams completed a 55-yard touchdown, connecting with senior receiver Jonathan Cradle. The Falcons’ defense was rock solid, with senior Isiah Hargett adding 10 total tackles. The Falcons scored 21 points in the 3rd quarter and finished the game routing Person 35-12.
Last Friday, the Falcons escaped with a close 26-21 win over the Enloe Eagles. Jordan was up 20-0 going into the 4th quarter but gave up 21 points in the 4th after a raging comeback from the Eagles. Cam Carrow was spectacular in the game, completing 13 of his 16 attempts for 205 yards and 3 TDs along with 32 yards rushing on 8 carries. Cam Carrow was ecstatic when asked about the goals for this team, saying, “Our main goal is to win a conference and state championship. I personally love this team, and the family atmosphere and competitiveness of this team is like no other. It has been amazing being able to be at a position of leadership for this team where these guys believe in me and I believe in them.” This is an amazing football team and one that plays together, contributing to their 2-0 record. The Falcons look forward to an excellent rest of the season as they enter a three-game home stretch.
The Falcons play Northern this Friday and are looking for a big win to go undefeated in their non-conference schedule. Northern also boasts an undefeated record (1-0) with a win over Person, 25-7. This is Jordan’s first home game, so come out Friday night–weather permitting–and be loud at Claude Currie Stadium to pull for your Falcons!
